When we got back to the hotel, we checked his Instagram account to confirm it was him. He hadn't posted anything in days so we were left to wonder.
Yesterday, to our surprise, he started posting many videos from the ESPY Awards in L.A. confirming that he is/was in the neighborhood. So as true Canadians, while in Beverly Hills, we have a confirmed siting of a celeb hockey player, Sorry, no Brads, Georges, or Jennifers.
Beverly Hills has its own police force, laws, landscaped roads, street signs and lots of other things to make it elitist.
We spent yesterday at Disneyland. We had so much fun going on as many rides as possible.
Some rides Siena liked, like Splash Mountain. I got volun-told to sit in the front where you get most wet but I held the Go Pro which is a big deal (argument) in our family.
Some rides Siena didn't like.
I have to agree with Siena. This ride was Space Mountain. It's a roller coaster running in the dark - dumb!
Lynn is an expert at the fast pass system. We never waited more than 30 minutes for any ride and often walked right up to the front of very long lines.
The kiddos were troopers, walking over 10 kilometres yesterday.
We're adjusting to the groupie pics instead of asking strangers all the time to take our pictures. It cuts down on all the autographs and crowds.
Talking about bad jokes, we went on a Jungle Cruise ride. It's was hilarious for me, however Lynn hurt her neck from shaking it so much and the jokes went right over the kids heads (they are short). The entire 8 minute script delivered by the tour guide was filled with bad jokes and puns.
1. "Do you know why it's called the Nile River? Becuse it goes on for niles and niles. If you don't believe me, you must be in de-nile."
2. "This canabal is a real humanitarian."
3. This elephant is the second most deadliest animal in the jungle. The MOST dangerous animal in the jungle is his mother-in-law, over there." (Sorry Karen)
You get it the idea.
We had lunch in ToonTown and met Mickey; a must for every visit.
For a break in the afternoon, we took in a show. The cast picked people from the audience to play roles within the skit. It was funny too. So much so, the kids wanted to return to see it again. Upon return, Lynn and I sat in prime seats and I bet Lynn that I would be picked. The kids were scared and refused to sit with us. Who doesn't pick the happy-go-lucky bald guy in the front row?
I won the bet so Lynn had to pack all our luggage that night to prepare for our flight to NZ.
There are street vendors outside Disney and Siena and Jonah are always interested in the Fidget Spinners. My patience is tested each time...
Adios from SoCal. We will go back into California Adventure Park for some of the day and then it will be off to LAX to fly to NZ.
Our next post will be from NZ.
With love, Lynn, Mike, Jonah and Siena!
