Packing Up House

We continued to pack up the house in prepaation to rent. Garage sale is scheduled for this Saturday. So much stuff to get rid of, storage or pack to take with us.  

Hiccup - Visa Need More Evidence

Jonah's birthday. He turned 11 today.

Received three parcels in the mail. Lynn, Jonah and Siena's Visas require a bit more evidence.

We worked into the night to turn around the packages and I'm on my way to Purolator Courier them back to the NZ Visa centre in Washington.

We're cutting it close...

House Rented - Another Item Off the Checklist

Last week we accepted a signed lease and last month's rent from a couple and their two kids. On July 1st we will be moving out to start our adventure. 

Our flight to L.A. doesn't fly out of Toronto until July 9th so we're going to be couch surfing for a week! Watch out family and friends!

Received notice that my Visa application is approved.

About three weeks ago, I applied for and earned a teaching position for maths at Onehunga HS. Onehunga is a suburb of Auckland. The school's population is approximately 1500 students.

Waiting for Lynn, Jonah and Siena's Visa's to be approved. Each Visa application costs approximately $420 CAD. 

Our home is almost (fingers crossed) rented to a family from Newfoundland. The husband will be doing a fellowship at UH starting July 1st. The couple have a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old.

Lots still to do before we leave London on July 8th. Flight to L.A. leaves Toronto at 6:30 AM on the 9th.
